School conditions

Meeting Point Conditions:

  • Smoking is not allowed in Meeting Point.
  • Students are not allowed to eat during classes.
  • Mobile phones must be disconnected in the classrooms.
  • Punctuality is required from all students.
  • All students must behave responsibly and respectfully whilst at Meeting Point.

Meeting Point reserves the right to terminate participation of course and occupation of accommodation organised by ourselves if the student behaves in an abusive or inconsiderate manner towards others, or indulges in any illegal activity. Any students that are expelled will not have the right to a refund.

Meeting Point reserves the right to cancel a student's place on a course if they do not follow the required payment methods: this refers to both course and accommodation payment.

Holidays

  • Meeting Point will close on public holidays. To compensate as much as possible for classes that could be lost due to a public holiday falling on a weekday, Meeting Point has an established a 'Holiday Procedure' aimed at minimising lost classes.
  • When there is a holiday on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, unless these are special local festivities that would be of cultural interest to the student, we will 'move' this holiday to a Monday or a Friday to enable the student to take a long weekend.
  • When there are two public holidays in one week, as happens at Easter, Meeting Point will recover one of these classes either in an afternoon/evening or on a Saturday morning.

Insurance

  • Our insurance policy covers incidents and accidents that could occur during your time in Meeting Point, and also covers you when taking part in excursions and events organised by ourselves outside the school, providing that a teacher from the school is present.
  • Meeting Point is not responsible for loss or theft of students' personal property, and students are advised to take out there own travel insurance.

Medical Insurance

  • European Community nationals are advised to bring the E111 document, which will allow you to have medical treatment in Spain and reclaim costs in your home country.
  • Students from outside the European Union are recommended to take out a medical insurance policy.

Payment conditions

Payment methods

  • The 25% deposit should be paid on confirmation of course. This can be paid by bank transfer or credit card. The balance should be paid before your first day.
  • Any bank charges are the student's responsibility, and you should make sure you inform your bank of this when making the transfer. In the case that we are charged by mistake, we reserve the right to pass this cost onto you on arrival.
  • All payments will be acknowledged by e-mail or post.

Cancellations: Course

  • All cancellations must be notified in writing: by e-mail or post.
  • Any cancellations made in the month before the course commences will result in loss of deposit.
  • Once the course has started no refunds are possible.
  • Cancellation fees can be waived if Meeting Point is satisfied that "exceptional circumstances" can be declared. In such cases, Meeting Point will refund all money paid, apart from 10% of the total as an administration fee.
